Here we have a second model Smith & Wesson Safety Hammerless revolver chambered in .38 SW caliber. The second model Safety Hammerless is distinguished from the first model by the locking mechanism engaged/disengaged to tip the barrel and cylinder up for loading/unloading. This particular example has some high edge wear, finish loss and a few light scratches. The left grip panel has a chip and the heel. Mechanically this revolver is in excellent condition and all functions operate smoothly like they should. The muzzle has some holster wear. The 3 1/4 inch barrel has a good bore with strong rifling.
