Description:
Mauser 98K, chambered in 7.92X57 MM. This Mauser can tell an interesting story. At first glance it appears to be a Sauer & Sohn factory piece from 1938. This can be seen from the 147 factory code and 1938 on the receiver. The Waffenampt proof marks as well as the matching serial numbers are all present on the receiver, bottom of the magazine, and bolt. The straight bolt however leads me to believe this was originally a GEW 98 that was later transitioned to be a 98K model. Bore is in decent shape and the finish is good. The stock is also in good shape despite a few scuff marks and dents in the wood. 7.92x57mm
