Description:
A beautiful custom 30-06 by the famous master gunmaker R.G.Owen. Built in 1928 for VL&D customer David Bruce on a 1903 Springfield action. Features include a quarter rib with one standing two folding express sights,trapdoor grip cap and buttplate,shadowline cheekpiece,wrap around 28 line checkering,and Lyman rear peep and ramp front sight. The rifle is fully documented with letters from Griffin and Howe and copies of the VL&D ledger. The rifle is in excellent as built condition retaining 98% of the original blue and wood finish. A classic rifle from one of the premier builders of the 20th century. C&R eligible.
