A Roby Pre-Contract 1861 Model 1860 Cavalry Saber
1 of 410 contracted by the US Army sent to the 1st Vermont Cavalry
Engaged in the Shenandoah Campaign, at Battle of Winchester and Gettysburg among others.
This gives this Saber a Unit I.D. substantiated by Thillman 's book.
Saber is in nice condition with a pleasant Patina on the Guard, Grip, Blade and Scabbard. Grip is worn but there, blade is very heavily speckeled .
