Description:
This difficult-to-find Government Target Model is a Sturm, Ruger & Co Mark II chambered in .22 LR. Every Mark II Government Model .22 LR that leaves the Ruger plant is first targeted to military accuracy specifications via a special pistol laser sighting device. These specifications require 10 consecutive shots from a machine rest at 25 yards, all of which must fall within or cut the edge of a 1.25 inch bullseye. The Government Model also has a heat treated chamber which allows it to hold to a slightly tighter specification over time. Many of the Mark II target models will meet or exceed those accuracy standards with the right ammunition but the Government Target was the only model that was guaranteed to do so. This firearm is in very good condition metal and furniture, showing only minimally noticeable handling wear. This pistol comes with a removable "B-Square" non-intrusive rail assembly and 3 magazines total. .22 Long Rifle
