Description:
1956 Browning Sweet 16 in extraordinarily good shape for the year of manufacture. The metal and engraving are at least 85%, only extremely slight wear and very minor surface pitting, really incredible. The forearm has been replaced with a new one and the color very closely matches the original finish on the stock. The stock finish has several light scratches as would be expected in a 64 year old gun, but there are no dents or deep scratches. The stock checkering is extremely sharp with only two small irregularities on the right side which can be easily corrected and the stock is an excellent candidate for refinishing by a reliable refinisher. The price reflects the Blue Book certified 15% add - on for a round grip knob and an additional 20% for a red stock. Included is a Pachmayr Decelerator pad which fits perfectly and adds 1" to the gun's length of pull. Gun dimensions are listed here.
