Description:
Japanese Type I Carcano, chambered in 6.5X50 MM. Features include: Italian Carcano style bolt action, 31 in. barrel, 5 shot internal box mag., adj. rear v-notch style ladder sight, fixed non-shrouded front blade sight, full length wooden stock, short length upper handguard, bottom mounted sling swivels, metal buttplate, finger grooves on forearm, knurled toggle safety located just behind the bolt handle. This rifle was manufactured in Italy by Beretta and shipped to Japan as part of an Axis trade agreement for the Japanese Navy. These rifles have no markings on them except for the serial number. The stock is unfinished on this piece, but the condition is good. Bore does need some cleaning, however and the bluing has gone to a brown patina. 6.5 x 50mm
