Sold Pending Funds---Colt model of 1909 US Army New Service Revolver wearing a 5 1/2 inch barrel and chambered in .45 Colt cartridge. RAC (Rinaldo A. Carr) inspector marked on frame and barrel, US Property marked on barrel bottom. Serial numbers on crane and butt. Original Blued finish at 80% with wear and scattered marks on Smooth Walnut grips and steel finish. Mfg. In 1911, lanyard loop on butt, Tight action with Rock solid lockup and good bore. Colt produced the New Service from 1898 to 1941 and used by our armed service in the Spanish-American War, WWI, WWII,Korean War and Vietnam War. It was the largest revolver ever produced by Colt until the introduction of the Colt Anaconda.
