Description:
HOLD 294 Modified between 1858 and 1861. Missing hammer and mainspring with replaced rear sight. The stock was cracked and glued back at wrist. Stock should be darkened a little more with top piece behind hammer needing to be glued back in place. Probably popped out when mainspring broke and is totally missing. Merrill markings are visible light in spots due to stamping. Number 11 stamped under barrel and breech with other numbers stamped there also. Onlly around 293 converted and in very fine to excellent condition they sell around $7000. There is still a profit left in this one when completely restored. Priced right.
