SOLD: Your opportunity to own a fully cased Holland and Holland in caliber 300. According to H&H records the rifle was manufactured in the late 1960's. It is built on an original Oberndorf Mauser action.The rifle has both a flag safety(mauser) and a side safety(Holland and Holland). It has stunning wood and a leather covered recoil pad. Case colored cross bolts and grip cap(containing a spare front sight). Floor plate engraved " Made in England", 4 cartridges. Barrel, 24 Inches, Hykro Steel and Marked "Holland and Holland 13 Bruton Street London England "
I took this rifle to Africa twice, first to Tanzania- Maasailand and then to Zimbabwe- Zambezi valley. The rifle shoots very well with Nosler Accubond 180gr 300 H&H ammunition, which I used on every animal shown in the photos attached.
So what is included in the sale: the take down rifle as shown, with Holland and Holland side mounts for the scope. The leather case(monogrammed PWT) with keys, the scope rings engraved with rifle serial number. I include two scopes- the original Swarovski Habicht 1,5-4,5 x 20 as well as the scope I used a Swarovski Z5i 3,5-18x44mm with the ballistic turret.
The case comes loaded with the correct silent sling for the sling mounts on this rifle, H&H selvyt cleaning cloth, H&H oil bottle, H&H oil, H&H patches. A cleaning rod (2 piece) and the brush and jag in leather pouch is also included.
Please note the rifle will ship in a hard plastic case, seperate from the leather case to reduce risk of damaging the case interior which is in immaculate condition. You can view this actual rifle as well as me firing it on my youtube channel- Old Colonial Treasures.
