Description:
Absolutely one of the great guns of our age, the A. Galazan pinless sidelock made right here in the U.S.A. This gun, a 26" barreled round body side by side with pinless locks and engraved to the hilt by world famous engraver W. Patelli and signed by him on right lock in game scene. This gun, made with checkered splinter forend, with Deeley pushbutton release, auto ejectors, single trigger. The action has Galazan's patented "selective self opener" system which is unique in the world today, to my knowlege. The gun is engraved in beautiful open floral scroll by Walter Patelli and have fantastic game scenes on the sidelocks with quail on left in game scene, grouse on right in woods scene. The top lever has a quail at the head and is fully engraved in floral scroll. Bottom of action gold inlaid in small panel "GALAZAN". Long tang trigger guard is near fully engraved in floral scroll with SN in gold at center of tang. The gun is mounted with an incredible piece of Turkish walnut which has perfect grain layout, and is checkered through the wrist in a point pattern, has gold oval near the toe and terminates with a fantastically complex engraved skeleton buttplate. Entire action is coin finished.
The gun remains in near mint factory test fired condition with virtually all original finish to both wood and metal surfaces. Mechanics are crisp and bores are brilliant and shiny.
This is a truly exceptional gun and worthy of the finest gun room in the world. Galazan has shown the world he is capable of making extraordinary guns with innovative features and this gun is a trust testament to that. The quality of fit and finish can be put up against any gun in the world and stand tall with ease.
