Description:
Winchester 1892 Takedown, 25-20 Rifle, Shortened Tube, Native American Story told, this gun was purchased in AZ from the Estate of Charlotte Thorpe and was believed to have been her father Jim Thorpe's, who was the famous Native American Olympian and Athlete.  SN: 698925. 

Decorations to stock applied in Native American Style.

Jim Thorpe was a small game hunter and this rifle would have been handy for that effort.  See attached pictures of Jim Thorpe hunting

Comes with Winchester Certified Letter attesting the rifle serial number was applied on January 29, 1913, after Jim Thorpe was called The Worlds Greatest Athlete for his performance in the 1912 olympics.

Rifle is functional and shootable. Bore is shiney.
