J.C. Higgins Model 31 - Semi -Auto .22 LR Rifle - Smooth 2 piece pistol grip style walnut stock and forend. 24 In. long barrel 41.75. in . overall length. Tubular magazine with 15 LR only capacity . Open rear adj. sight and a front ramped blade sight. Bore is clean and bright. Receiver is grooved for scope. Includes a New Barska 4x20 scope and a priority scope adapter that will accept 9 mm to 21 mm scope rails w/ rings. Built - in red 1 in. wide retractable carry strap in very good condition. Butt plate is in very good condition. Barrel and receiver are retaining approx. 90% bluing. Stock and forend are in excellent condition with very few minor handling marks. The overall condition of the rifle is exceptionally for it's age. Manufactured by High - Standard from 1953 to 1962 .The High- Standard rifles were very stylish both then and now .
