Description:
The overall condition of this gun is about 75 percent owing mostly to the condition of the wood, particularly the stock.  The metal (receiver, operating handle, bolt, magazine floor, bayonet stud, barrel, sights, trigger, and trigger guard) is mid to high 90s condition, with no rust and very few mars.  The issue with the wood is mostly with the stock.  The front and rear hand guards are in very good condition - 95 percent, with very few dents or mars and no discolorations or other signs of wear.  The stock on the other hand bears the dents, scratches, and mars of its eighty years of age.  The right side of the stock has a 3”x 3” discolored area (lighter than the rest of the stock).  While the front and rear hand guards are very similar in color and condition, the stock shows much more signs age and use. This may lead one to think the hand guard might not be original.  However, I have seen other M1s with similar phenomenon.  Keep in mind that the parts of most U.S. wartime guns were massed produced and assembled without regard to matching anything.  So. you would expect to see differences in wood grain and finishes.  I cannot guarantee the wood on this gun is all original, but I cannot not refute it.  Year of manufacture was 1943.  The rifle comes with seven 8-round enbloc clips, an M1907 M1 type leather sling, and a “The Fighting Garand Owner’s Manual” 1984 production by Desert Publications.

The photos are high resolution, so zoom to see details.  Contact me for additional photos of any area you would like to see or see better.

The buyer pays $60 for USPS Priority mail and $27.25 for insurance.  Virginia buyers must pay 5.3% sales tax.

The fastest way to get this gun is to pay with USPS (U.S. Postal Service) money orders, as they are like cash.  I will ship the revolver immediately upon receipt of a USPS money order and an FFL.  I will also accept a personal check or other type money, as well as bank checks and cashier's checks, but I will hold the gun until it clears my bank; this includes bank checks and cashier’s checks.  I do not accept credit cards, debit cards, or PayPal.

Check or money order must be made out to Jerry Pownall, NOT Barboursville Arms.
