Description:
SUPERB CONDITION FIRST FULL YEAR PRODUCTION POST-WAR, 5-SCREW PRE-17, K-22 MASTERPIECE .22LR, #K6XXX, MADE 1947. Production of these began after World War II in 1946 at serial number K101. This is a very early example in about unused and unfired condition. All numbers match including the medallion diamond checkered grips. Has the correct tiny screw above the side plate screw only found on early examples. Excellent blue overall with hardly the beginnings of a cylinder drag line, all sharp markings, exc. case colors on the hammer and trigger. Even the front face of the cylinder retains all the blue indicating this one was probably never fired. Would be hard to improve upon or find a lower serial number, just needs a box.
