In 2022 I released my new Lone Star Holster pattern pack for hobby and professional holster makers.  Countless prototypes were engineered until the patterns were just right.  This 1911 Lone Star holster is a final version appearing on the pattern pack cover (top row right).  Holster is engineered to ride on a 1 1/2" pant belt at a FBI angle.  A cutout in the skirt insures the magazine release isn't actuated during use of the holster.

The Lone Star is styled after holsters made popular by manufacturers in Texas like A.W. Brill, S.D. Myer, and others.  Pant belts were coming into fashion to hold up gentlemen's trousers rather than relying on suspenders.  Gone were the frontier days when a man needed a whole cartridge belt to fight off Comanche, bandits, and rustlers.  Texans began thinking of themselves as "cosmopolitan" and only course rubes traveled about with a hog-leg on his hip.  But even gentlemen didn't go about unarmed.  This new style of holster concealed even large weapons high on the pant belt hidden under a gentleman's coat.  And even in Texas, most disagreements could be resolved with 4-6 bullets.

This 1911 holster is from the Lone Star Pattern Pack cover and is available for $255 plus shipping/insurance.
