Description:
Springfield Model 1903 Mark I chambered for .30-06 Springfield. The 1903 Mark I was made from 1918 to 1920. It was modified with an ejection port on the left side of the receiver for specific use with the Pedersen device. The Pedersen device was an experimental weapon attachment for the M1903 Springfield bolt action rifle that allowed it to fire a .30 caliber (7.62 mm) pistol-type cartridge in semi-automatic mode. SA Barrel dated 10-19. The 1903 remained in service in sniper use as late as the Vietnam War. .30-06 Springfield
