Description:
This rifle was received by me from the Civilian Marksmanship Program. The receiver is an early WWII issue, and has been though rebuild. It has replacement slightly mismatched hardwood (not walnut) and a new-looking Marlin replacement barrel with excellent bore. I do not have the guages to measure, but it is a wonderful shooter with a bright and shiny bore. It is clean, lubed, functions well, and shoots very nicely. Target in picture was at 100 yards using my hand-loads. A very nicel example of the M1 Garand, and a very nice shooter.
