Description:
Marlin 1881 in 45-70 with rare 1/2 magazine and set trigger mfg. 1886. 28" octagon barrel with bright crisp bore! This rifle has the light receiver with a lot of bluing left.  Rifle functions and fires flawlessly. Set trigger works as it should. Brophy's Marlin bible lists only 194 rifles in the records with 1/2 magazines and 2929 with the set trigger. Rifle does have some bumps, bruises and some buggered screws as expected  for a 136 year old gun but overall in great condition! The area around the loading gate has some marks but everything functions as it should. More pics/info upon request. Gun is an antique and will ship to your door with proof of ID in most American states. Other states please check your laws. $50 insured shipping along with payment by certified check or money order. $3500 obo.
