"U.S. Model 1841 Mississippi Rifle by Tryon. Lock is dated 1848. Barrel has a smooth brown patina with traces of the arsenal brown. Nice sharp gun. Wood is very good with nice sharp cartouches. Bore is smooth and measures .54 caliber. Action works perfectly. Very nice example of a Mississippi rifle.
