"NSN. Made circa 1849 – 1850. Finished in the white. Gun is unused. This gun could have been a shop sample or it could have been experimental prototype. This gun has the full cylinder scene, but has no serial numbers and no patent dates. The only marking is the barrel address. This gun was pictured in The Book of Colt Firearms by R. L. Wilson and R. Q. Southerland on page 89. This gun was sold by legendary dealer and collector Arnold Marcus Chernoff. Very fine, extremely rare experimental prototype Colt 2nd Dragoon!
