Description:
This is the kind of saddle used during the battle at the ALAMO. Rawhide covered wooden tree with 16.75" seat and 17.75" wide cantle. Long 9.5" leather-wrapped horn with 4.5" head inset with white metal Mexican eagle with "REPUBLICA MEXICANA EJERCITO NATIONALE". Wooden stirrups with tooled tapaderos adorned with leacher conchos. Integral pad with hair batting. Fitted with elaborately tooled leather mohilla. **Very good condition overall Historic saddle.
