***SOLD*** Incredible Pre War Winchester Model 70 .30 GOV'T. '06 in high condition, undrilled, AND with a 3 digit serial number! S/N 891 made in 1936.
The condition is truly amazing for an 86 y.o. rifle showing 97% original finishes on both metal and wood. These earliest M70s are considered by many to be the finest ever produced with some unique and desirable features such as their premiere workmanship, undrilled rear receiver bridge, polished carbonum blued receiver, square faced floorplate release, etc.
Bore and mechanics are flawless as usual, and as smooth as silk.
Most lifelong Model 70 collectors will never see, let alone have an opportunity to own a one, two, or three digit S/N rifle. Don't let this one get away.
