Marlin Model 1897 Deluxe, 22cal, serial #208XXX, made in the year 1900, early style round top receiver, 24” octagon barrel, pistol grip, B style checkering on the stock and forearm, Fancy walnut, there are two extra holes on the upper left side of the receiver for an old type scope mount, Marbles tang peep sight, Beech combination front sight and Marbles rear barrel sight, excellent bore, 90% bright vivid case colors, the checkering and butt plate are excellent, 92% original blue with some edge wear on the forearm cap, the original wood varnish is excellent
