The Nagant M1895 Revolver is a seven-shot handgun with a gas-seal design whereby the cylinder moves forward when the gun is cocked, closing the gap between the cylinder and barrel to provide a boost in muzzle velocity. Nearly 2 million were produced from 1895 until 1945. This one has 1944 date stamped on the frame. 7.62x38R
