Description:
A Midland Gun Co of Price St, Birmingham, England. .30-06 made in the older English style. 24" barrel with fine rifling. Clean rifling with no frosting or darkness. The barrel has a banded sling mount, front band sight and blue that is beginning to fade somewhat. The Mauser style action is very smooth and solid with 50% blue remaining. The triggerguard and bottom metal are Black aluminum. 3.5 Lb trigger. It has a side mounted safety. The scope mounts and rings are early style Warne QD. The scope is a newer Konus 3-10 x 44mm. As shown it weighs 8.0 lbs. There is extensive checkering on the stock as the forend is full wrap around with a Rosewood tip. The grip is checkered fully and wraps over the top. It is 20 LPI with an oil finish. This rifle has been modified since it left England and makes a great hunting rifle. Accurate and dead reliable. It is priced to move a fraction of replacent.
