A pre-war vintage Winchester model 70 re-configured as a serious varmit rifle. 26" heavy weight replacement barrel (.725" muzzle, 1.165" breech) in 22-250. High polish blue on all metal with none opf the lettering or screw holes over buffed or dished out. . Redfield one piece scope base installed. There is no wear on any of the metal except the bolt knob shows handling. Walnut stock with Rosewood grip and forend caps. There are a few light scratches and safe dings to the wood, but nothing serious. Checkered steel shotgun style buttplate. The rifle weighs 9 lbs. and would make a super rest type varmit rifle. The action is very smooth as you would expect from a pre-war Model 70. Serial number is 33999 which puts it in 1941.
