Description:
For sale is a rare piece of history! - a Winchester Model 12 WWII Riot Gun. Manufactured & issued to the US Militsary in 1942.
Manufactured in New Haven Connecticut
Standard commercial markings (choke mark "MOD" struck out, "CYL." added below), with "U.S." & "flaming bomb" on right receiver side, ordnance bomb on top of barrel, and a 2 3/4 inch chamber. Ribbed forearm and smooth pistol grip stock with "W.B." cartouche over the cross cannons ordnance cartouche and original hard rubber factory buttplate.
"41" on bottom of barrel.
"M.H.P 165" stamped on receiver indicating this firearm was reissued to an "M" state highway patrol after the war.
Barrel Length 20", Length of pull is 14 inches.
Serial # 963847
Firearm is in 80% all original condition with original finish still retaining its deep blue color & showing minor scratches and wear marks, and original buttstock showing slightly heavier wear. Mechanically the firearm is in excellent condition.
