Description:
This Smith & Wesson Regulation Police is a Pre War model manufactured sometime between 1917 and 1940. Gun is in very good overall condition. Wood grips are solid and have darkened with age showing light wear. Blue is good with some areas of blue loss and some light pitting on top of receiver. Bore is bright with faint rifling. Bottom of grips are stamped "Pat. June 15 1917". Top of barrel is stamped "Smith & Wesson Springfield Mass. USA Pat'd. - Oct.8.01. Dec. 17.01. Feb.8.08 Sept. 14.09 Dec. 29.14". .38 S&W
