Sale pending #5258 Birmingham rifle made for Goolamhusain Allibhoy &Sons Ltd Bombay in 375 FL Mag Ejector
Marked : "Grand Prix " Long range rifle model P. 26" chopper lump barrel with excellent bores and chambers. Good soldering and a fairly recent professional reblack over some older light oxidation marks with some pitting under the forend.
Shooting 72Gr of IMR 4831 and a 300gr Woodleigh the rifle cuts some very nice 1" groups at 55 yards , horizontal and with each barrel to its respective side.
Tight action (never re-jointed) with Greener third fastener, 100% newer case color hardening. 75% scroll and game scene engraving, reminiscent of the Jeffereys of the same period, manual safety, crisp trigger pulls.
Stock is solid with no internal crack, newer finish in 95% plus condition with some light handling marks.
The forend wood has a couple repairs. LOP is 14 3/8" over a 1" silvers pad , weight is 10 Lbs 4 oz .
