Description:
In the late 1950s, Vittorio Gregorelli (a Beretta subcontractor) made black powder revolver parts for Uberti to assemble various reproduction black powder revolvers. Navy Arms Co. was contracted to sell these revolvers in the US. All of these Gregorelli / Uberti-made revolvers were marked “ G.U. ” until the mid-1960s.  This G.U.stamped Navy Arms Colt 1851 Navy reproduction is beautifully engraved with gold inlay.  It is fitted with a nicely engraved 7 ½ inch octagon barrel with a brass bead front sight, 2 gold inlaid bands at the muzzle, hand inscribed and gold inlaid framed " Navy Arms Co." on the top of the barrel, and hand-engraved and gold inlaid scroll work on the top of the barrel.  The non-fluted cylinder is nicely engraved along with a gold inlaid band.  The frame is fully engraved with hand-inscribed "Navy Arms Co." on the left side.  The color case-hardened loading lever is checkered and also engraved.  The brass trigger guard, brass back-strap, hammer, and all screw-heads are engraved.  According to the included original 8/1/1961 dated receipt this gun came with ivory grips, it is presently fitted with one-piece burl walnut, whether it came this way or was changed out later is unknown.  The revolver is very nicely made, with great fit and finish and all engraving was professionally done to a high standard.  Comes with a walnut display case (made by Sante Fe, Japan), .36 Cal. powder flask (made by Sante Fe, Italy), .36 Cal. bullet mold (made by Navy Arms Co., Italy), a box of pistol caps (made in western Germany), Nipple wrench (unknown maker), and a parts list/"Shooting the Navy Arms Co. Percussion Revolvers" information sheet.  The revolver is in a new/unfired condition, showing its age with minor handling marks and tarnished brass.  Regardless, a very nice looking and unique Colt Navy replica.                FFL NOT REQUIRED                                                        PRICE:    $1,595.00            We are Antique & Modern Firearms in Lexington, KY, a dealer of fine firearms since 1974.                    PH. 859-276-1419         We Buy, Sell, and Trade Firearms & Knives.    Have an Individual FirearmFirearms Collection, or Firearms Estate to sell, let us know, and we can buy or consignment sell it for you.                   NOTE:  No additional fee for a Credit Card payment.
