****SOLD**** Presented here is a beautiful Smith & Wesson Model 27-4 double action revolver chambered in .357 Magnum caliber. The Smith & Wesson Model 27 is a six-shot, double-action revolver chambered for the .357 Magnum cartridge and manufactured by the United States company Smith & Wesson. It was first produced in 1935, and many versions of it are still in production today. The Model 27 was built on S&W's carbon steel, large N-frame, had adjustable sights, and was available at various times with 31⁄2", 4", 5", 6", 61⁄2", 83⁄8", 83⁄4", or 105⁄8" barrel lengths. There were many special order options available like grips, sights and barrel lengths. This particular example has an 8 3/8 inch barrel, adjustable rear sight and a minty bore with strong rifling. The top strap has been given a checkered treatment. The grip panels are in outstanding condition being free of cracks or chips with bright Smith & Wesson medallions. The grip checkering is in outstanding condition still being quite sharp and grippy. The cylinder has light turn rings and there is very, very light high edge wear. Lock up and timing are very tight and sure. This fine Smith & Wesson is in outstanding overall physical and mechanincal condition. Original box and papers included.
