Originally produced as the 600 from about 1964 then as the Mohawk from 71 to approx 79, this is belived to be a 1971 gun based on the barrel date code. Excellent condtion with no meaningful scratches or flaws other than were a receiver sight had been installed at one time on the left side. Someone with modest ability could fill and touch up this area. Blue is excellent throughout.
Both front and original rear sights are in place as is a quality Burris one piece scope base.
Shown but not included is a Leupold Compact. The "Compact" no longer produced was known to have the same componants as the top of the line at the time Vari X 111 in a smaller iteration better sized for carbines and smaller rifles. Scope may be purchased by the buyer of this handy little (37" overall lenght with 18 1/2" barrel) carbine for $ 200.00....If buyer of the rifle does not want to buy it, scope will be sold separately for $ 245.00.
