Description:
Mauser 98k carbine, chambered for 7.92x57mm. While this rifle has seen better days, it still has plenty of character and is in decent shape. This particular Mauser was manufactured in 1936 at the Mauser-Werke factory as indicated by the S/243 on the top of the receiver. Clearly visible on the left side of the receiver is the 5643 serial number with Eagle proof mark, and MOD 98 designation. Seen on the bottom of the floor plate is several other serial numbers of 3314 and 5424 plus what appears to be the waffenampt proof mark of WaA53. 7.92x57mm
