Description:
A classic American hunting gun, this is a 16 gauge Philadelphia Fox Sterlingworth, made circa 1927...The 28" barrels are choked mod and full. 2 1/2" chambers with fine bores...14 1/4" length of pull. Drops are 2 and 3 1/2 inches...Weighs 6 1/3 pounds....Butt stock was cracked internally. Wood has been repaired with epoxy and reinforcing wedges have been added...There is also evidence of a ding being raised in the left barrel about 10 down from the muzzles...Action is remarkably tight for a gun of this vintage, indicating lots of carry with little actual firing...Overall, good shooting condition, with appropriate ammunition....Ship to ffl or c&r...This is a used gun. It is guaranteed to be functional and free of major cosmetic issues...
