We offer you an “AMN” Steyr Mannlicher Schoenauer model 1950 Rifle Chambered in .270 Winchester manufactured in 1951.
The Stoeger Arms Corporation was the official Mannlicher-Schoenauer importer and Steyr worked closely with Stoeger to produce rifles suitable for the American market. The top of the chamber ring has the six lines marking “MADE IN AUSTRIA / ORIGINAL / MANNLICHER / SCHOENAUER / Mod. 1950 / KAL. 270”. The left side of the receiver is marked with an “eagle” proof and “51” date stamp. The left side of the barrel shank is marked with an “51” date stamp, “eagle” proof and “NPV”. The left side of the receiver is marked “STEYR-DAIMLER-PUCH A.G., STEYR” and with a Steyr logo. The bottom of the magazine is marked "STOEGER / ARMS / CORPORATION / NEW-YORK / Sole U.S. agents / with the Steyr logo at the bottom. The serial number of the rifle is “3694”.
The 24 inch barrel has an excellent bore with no issues. The bluing on the rifle is in very fine condition with a few surface marks. The stock is in fine condition and shows several marks and dings. There is a small crack as pointed out behind the thumb safety on the right side. The rest of the stock is solid with no issues. All the numbers are matching and the rifle functions just fine.
This will be shipped fully insured UPS Ground to your FFL for $65. This rifle will be shipped in a heavy double walled foam lined cardboard box that we have manufactured for us so that your gun arrives safe.
