Up for sale is a used Springfield M1ARifle (7.62mm). This item has a 22” barrel and wood stock. The bore looks shiny to the naked eye with strong rifling, inspection with a bore scope shows pitting in the bore. The pitting is rather light from the front of the chamber until it reaches about 9” from the muzzle where it gets deeper and would be rated as “Moderate” depth pitting. The castle nut is somewhat deformed from when the muzzle brake was installed and would probably warrant replacement. The parkerizing shows a few light scratches and a little bit of wear in the finish on the barrel between the muzzle brake and the gas cylinder, but otherwise is in good condition. The stock is a surplus M-14 stock with the cut out for the selector, some light scratches and some light dings in the wood are present but they are not anything horrible at all. Comes with the sling, TM Manual, the original flash hider, castle nut pliers, military style cleaning kit, scope mount, one 5 rd. magazine, two 10 rd. magazines and two 20 rd. magazines. Best we can tell is that the D.O.M. is 1983.
