Here we have a Marlin 1893 SRC (Saddle Ring Carbine) chambered in .32 Winchester Special (which Marlin called the .32 High Power Special or .32 HPS). The top of the receiver is marked "Marlin Safety" which was meant to imply that their action was safer than other brands of lever actions. This particular rifle has a 20" barrel with fixed sights. The original case hardened finish has turned to a silver/grey patina and the barrel has retained a good portion of its bluing and exhibits high edge wear and thinning. The bore is bright with sharp rifling and the action functions flawlessly. All the factory markings are still crisp and the factory buttplate is in very good condition. All the factory hardware is still in great overall shape for their age. The wood is in exceptional original condition and exhibits very few handling marks. The receiver is marked Model 1893 which dates the manufacturing date of this wonderful rifle to before 1905. If you have been looking for an honest and original Marlin 1893 to add to your collection this would be a great choice.
