HIGH CONDITION 1894 .38-55 OCTAGON RIFLE, #301XXX, MADE 1906. One of the best of these I've been able to offer in some time, this one HAS A MINTY BRIGHT BORE with tight action. The receiver retains fine bright blue with some normal edge wear/dulling blue. The barrel and mag tube also retain fine deep blue also with only light normal age and edge wear. Original buckhorn rear sight with small Winchester blade front sight. Excellent markings and the upper portion of the lever and hammer show some case color. Fine+ stock and forend with tight wood to metal fit- if you look very carefully you may see two tiny sling swivel holes that were filled in the stock and forend- I owned this rifle for some time and never noticed them. A superior 116 year old 1894 in a desirable caliber with a great bore!
