Up for your consideration, I am offering for sale this SCARCE Mod. 70 STANDARD WEIGHT cal.243 manufactured in 1954. The vast majority of .243 mod 70,s were produced in featherweight configuration. This fine rifle has been in my family since new. It has been beautifully maintained and has seen minimal use over the last 68 years. The rifle is all original and is equipped with the much sought after steel buttplate. It is in overall excellent condition and truly a fine example of real craftmanship (when that actually meant something) A great gun overall and might I add, an absolute tack driver. Please refer to the photos including a pic I include of a typical 10 round group shot at 200 yds. using a 100gr. BTHP backed by 39.5gr of IMR3031. Given this guns very low round count, you can expect the same accuracy today. A wonderful addition for any collector or shooter who values quality and craftmanship rarely seen on most modern firearms.
