Description:
Winchester Model 1873 Rifle 3rd Model in .38 WCF. The 24 1/4-inch heavy round barrel is marked with Winchester name and address on top and caliber at rear. It has a semi buckhorn rear sight and German silver blade front. The magazine is full length. The blued action has 3rd model style dust cover and caliber marking on the bronze lifter. Lever and hammer are case hardened. Top tang of action is marked "Model 1873". It has straight grip American walnut stock fitted with a crescent buttplate with trap. Forend is held by steel cap. The barrel and magazine retain 50-60% original blue, slightly browned. The action retains about 75% of its original bright blue with some areas of browning, light scratches & sharp edge wear. Dust cover retains about half of its blue. Case color on lever & hammer are strong. The stock and forend retain most of their light varnish finish with a good number of marks & light scratches. Bore is bright, sharp & shiny. .38 WCF
