Description:
This is a double trigger and double side-by-side percussion shotgun made in the 19th century by J.R. Cooper, a famous English gunmaker. The shotgun is calibered for 12 Gauge. Shotgun is full length with a 30" damascus barrel and 48" long. Both hammers cock and springs work. Shotgun is fully functioning. There is a blank silver presentation plaque engraved with a fleur-de-lis border on the bottom forend. Walnut Deluxe-style wood stock has no cracks and maintains near mint condition. The lock side-plate on the right and left both read "J.R. COOPER, LONDON." The top of the barrel also reads "J.R. COOPER, LONDON" and the bottom of the barrel underneath the ramrod lies "BIRMINGHAM PROOFS." Shotgun overall has a beautiful brown patina.
