Thanks, Mark Description: The CS Richmond came out of Alabama from an old collection and the CSA rectangular with leather belt came out of a Museum in North Georgia that was started shortly after the Civil War, and both are original CW period items. Nobel Brothers in Rome Georgia was known to manufacture pewter buttons and plates during the CW, this Box plate may be one of those items. I find nothing like it anywhere on the internetThe sand cast Georgia State seal plate is a secondary plate most likely taken directly ffrom a Ga. State malitia plate and has as you see very fine detail. The ga. tongue in wreath is slightly larger than the plate shown in Steve Mullinax's book. I do not have history on the Ga. box or tongue in wreath plates as they came in a trade deal I did, That person had no specific history either. All four buckles and the leather belt for one price. The Stars and Bars came from a Museum in Utah many years ago and is available at a greatly reduced price to the person that buys these buckles if they also want that great item, too.. Contacf me for specifics on the flag.. Buckles and flag together will be $11,000,. SH&I on the Buckles is $25.00 Priority USPS in the lower 48 and additional insurance will be extra.. Thanks, Mark SOLD |
