Description:
This is a copy of the XM-177 as used in Vietnam by Army Special Forces, popularly known as the Green Berets.. This gun is based on an Ohio Ordnance lower and has the correct tear drop forward assist and a trigger that has been upgraded to give a nice 3.5 pound trigger pull. The delta ring is the correct flat type as are the handguards. The barrel is a Brownell's Chrome Lined 1:7 barrel that has the correct flash hider that has been pinned and welded to ATF specs for a legal 16". The flash hider has a grenade ring. The adjustable stock is the correct metal, NOT plastic, type. The carry handle is topped by an extremely rare Singlepoint sight, as used by the Son Tay raiders This sight is near mint and comes with the original box and instructions. Vintage Weaver thumbscrew rings attach the scope to the carry handle. I will not sell the scope separately. The gun is finished in my proprietary "Colt Gray Metallic" Cerakote. Also included are an M16 cleaning kit, PS Magazine reprint from the Vietnam era, and period carrying strap. The gun comes with one genuine surplus Colt 30 round magazine and one 20 round magazine. I am a retired Special Forces 18A and former Detachment Commander of SFODA-075. I built this gun and guarantee it 100%.
