We normally ship USPS Priority Mail which should be 2-day ship. Shipping is actual cost with a minimum of $30.00 for pistols and $50.00 for rifles/shotguns to ship to most of the 48 contiguous states. Shipping to Alaska may require an extra fee. Shipping insurance is available upon request for an extra fee. We cannot do international sales. As of November 2019, we no longer ship guns to California and Hawaii.

Description:
The 629 is perhaps one of Smith & Wesson’s most important models. The 629 was intended to allow the shooter to have a revolver that had far better resistance to rust and wear than the original carbon-steel Model 29. This is a recent production Model 629 Classic Deluxe (or DX) variation. Features included are a square butt frame, 6.5-inch full-lug barrel, .375-inch smooth trigger, .500-inch serrated target hammer, red ramp front sight insert, and white outline on the rear sight blade. It comes with a nice set of checkered wood stocks (as S&W likes to refer to grips as). The Model 629 has been used for everything from hunting to target shooting. It has also been used by law enforcement, although never on an “as issue” basis. The example shown in previously owned, but has never been fired since leaving the factory. This is exemplified by the fact that there are little to no existing powder burns on the face of the cylinder. The checkered stocks are interesting in that have two checkering patterns on each grip. The lower pattern is similar to the stippling found on a polymer framed semi-auto pistol such as the Glock or S&W’s own M&P 9. The upper pattern is akin to dragon scales. The pistol comes with its original box. Despite its appearance, the Classic DX was not intended to be a collector’s gun. In fact, all of the Classic Series revolvers were intended to be a more affordable replacement for the increasingly expensive older versions such as the 25, 27-2, 29-2, M1917, 629 No Dash – all of which have gone up in value in the past decade due to collectability. The Classic Deluxe can be used for target shooting, plinking, and even hunting.
