*** SALE PENDING FUNDS *** Very nice platform for a custom sporting rifle, featuring the work of two of the most well-known gunmakers in the American Custom Gunmakers Guild (ACGG). Desirable DWM 1909 Argentine Mauser action with Kurz undercut extensively customized by ACGG member Steve Billeb to include: action ground with some alteration of guard assembly and bolt stop, removal of all markings (aside from re-etching of serial number) to enable full-coverage engraving of rings and sidewall, lowering of tang, new guard screws, drilled and tapped for scope mounts, and installation of Blackburn trigger and Wisner two-position side safety. Follow-up work by ACGG member Roger Ferrell to include: welding and polishing of new pear-shaped Oberndorf-style bolt handle, re-heat treating of action, installation and headspacing of 23.6” chrome-moly steel Lothar Walther barrel, and regulation of magazine feeding and chambering for 7x64mm Brenneke cartridge (classic European hunting caliber ballistically similar to .280 Remington). All the hard metal work and waiting is done—“in the white” (color on action is natural by-product of heat treating process; action is not blued) and ready for engraving, final bluing and stocking to your personal specifications.
Following reloading supplies and factory ammunition are also included in purchase price: 1 box PRVI Partisan factory loaded ammo, 2 boxes Norma factory loaded ammo, new RCBS FL Die Set, Lee Case Length Gauge & Shell Holder, and 50 pcs new unprimed Norma brass cases.
