SOLD This Winchester was produced in 1928. The rifle's serial number is 9615. It is chambered for the 30W.C.F. [3030 Winchester]. This Model 55 is built on the Winchester Model 1894 frame. The 24 inch round barrel is in very fine condition with sharp lands and a bright bore. The sights are original to this rifle. The take down feature is tight with no issues. The original bluing would rate a 97% overall condition. The stock and forend are in very fine condition with no cracks or dents. The wood finish is fully intact with no loss. The action works smoothly and feeds shells with no issues. This Winchester is one of 21,000 rifles produced in this model. These rifles are hard to find in this nice of condition. These rifles were popular and saw much use and field wear. To find a Model 55 in this nice of condition is a real find! Original period box of shells for display only.
