Description:
Ithaca doubles were the grail of early gentleman shooters and this dates back to 1903 based upon the s/n 869xx. Our sources show this to be a Louis and Nig Pigeon gun, and it features game bird engravings on the flats and a pigeon on the bottom panel. It has probably been re-done, but was done expertly. The wood appears to not be sanded, but has shrunk a bit to flush with metal or metal-proud state. It appears to have a 'horn' butt plate. 12 Gauge

Metal Condition: Good. Barrel appears re-blued and shows some wear around the muzzle. The receiver retains some case color but is fading to patina. Engravings are sharp for the most part. Many small scratches.
Wood Condition: "Good. Many scratches and dents, none real bad but there are a number of them. Fine pitch checkering is in good shape and suggests that the wood has not been sanded. Most of the metal/wood is flush.
Bore Condition: Shiny and bright.
