Gorgeous U.S. Springfield Model 1842 in excellent condition. Metal is in original Armory Bright finish, lock and barrel are dated 1845. Stock is excellent with areas of raised grain and handsome cartouches noted. Left side of barrel is marked ""NJ"". Hard musket to improve on.
