Early Indian wars Model 1868 50-70 Trapdoor Army Rifle dated 1869. The full 2 band dark walnut stock is in very good condition showing average wear. The breach block is Marked US 1869. The lock is marked US Springfield dated to 1863 with the American eagle and functions fine. The original bright metal parts have mostly turned dark brown. The lock and breach functions fine with a good bore with strong rifling. The Springfield is original and complete with sling swivels and the correct cleaning rod.
